Hello my name is Steve Blumenthal.  I’m a Family Law Attorney in Hollywood, Florida.

I've tried to include a lot of content on the website, if you're looking for information.  If you're at the point where you need to move your family law case forward, one thing you should know is that if you're looking for a result that's fair or equitable, or simply for what's best for your children, you should feel confident.  An attorney can't guarantee a result for you, but those are basically the legal standards in Florida —a fair and equitable equitable result for financial issues, and for deciding children's issues what's in the best interest of the children.

I know sometimes people are concerned about how their case will turn out, but if your attorney does a good job, the groundwork for a good result is set before you before you ever go to court.  Each family law case is different, and each person will need different things in their case, and no one approach is going to work best for every case, but you have some options for how to handle your family law case. There's family law mediation which a lot of people, and more and more people are turning to these days, to try to resolve your case outside of court, with less acrimony.  Mediation can work even in high conflict cases.

There's a process called Collaborative Family Law, and if that’s something you're interested in, it’s probably something you are already know something about; and then there’s traditional family law or traditional family law litigation, where each side hires an attorney, everyone tries to settle outside the court, and if that's not possible then everyone goes to court.

I’ll always try to settle a case as efficiently as possible, outside of court and with as little acrimony and conflict as possible, but sometimes going to court is necessary, and if that's what's needed in your in your case, it’s something I’ll handle effectively for you.  So look around the website, and feel free to contact me, either by telephone or using the the contact form on the website.
